Work
Sound, screens, servers, signal, and the people who run them.
A decade of making technical things work for other people, across more disciplines than a job title fits.
Now
Building automation
The systems that keep a campus comfortable and efficient, now scheduled from the room bookings themselves.
Since June 2026 I’ve managed the building automation platforms for Kennesaw State University: the controllers, networks and front ends behind heating, cooling, air handling and scheduling across campus.
I built 25Live → BAS Schedule Sync for Plant Ops: it reads room bookings from 25Live and writes them into the controllers as BACnet schedule exceptions, so heating, cooling and lighting follow the calendar instead of a fixed timetable, on WebCTRL, EcoStruxure and Niagara alike.
It’s the same instinct as live events, with a longer show: know every system, notice problems before the people in the room do, and keep it all documented well enough that the next person can pick it up.

Live events & audiovisual
Videoboards, intercom, Dante networks and fibre, from high-school gyms to university stadiums.
At Kennesaw State’s Event & Venue Management I was Technical Director: patching optical and copper video and audio routes between venues, maintaining the large-format videoboards, running comms and audio, overseeing the department’s Cisco Meraki network, and turning an event coordinator’s idea into a working show.
Before that I spent three years leading a 20-person student crew there, and five years at the Fayette County Board of Education designing and deploying videoboard and distributed sound systems and managing a team of five Technical Directors.

Servers, networks & web
Linux boxes, containers, DNS and the edge, built to be boring in the best way.
At Country Fried Creative I built and maintained servers and VMs across a range of Linux distributions, and the stacks on top of them: WHM and cPanel, Docker, databases and WordPress, plus the DNS, SSL certificates, and Cloudflare Workers, Tunnels and APIs that put them on the internet.
At home that continues as GLaDOS, a self-hosted server behind a hardened reverse proxy that runs bibby.dev, this site, and everything else on the projects page.

KN4RQL
Amateur radio & RF
Antennas, frequency coordination, and getting students on the air.
I’m a licensed amateur radio operator, KN4RQL, working VHF and UHF from grid EM73sw, with SDR and APRS where radio and computers meet. I also hold a GMRS licence, WRMJ421.
The RF side of events is real work too: antenna theory and design, and frequency coordination so wireless mics, intercom packs and radios share the air without stepping on each other. I was president of the KSU Amateur Radio Club, W4KST for three years and am now its staff advisor.

Portraits
Photography
Studio portraits against a plain backdrop, and the moment right before a laugh.
I make portraits, mostly in the studio against a seamless backdrop: friends, coworkers, couples and the occasional dancer. No sets, just light, timing, and getting people comfortable enough to stop posing.

Post
Video & motion
Editing, compositing and graphics for the screens I used to run.
Adobe-certified in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, and a VFX generalist: the content that ends up on a videoboard, cut and composited by the same person who routes it there.

Leadership
People & campus life
Crews, clubs, residents, and the occasional crisis.
Most of what I’ve built has been built with a team: a 20-person student AV crew, five Technical Directors, two student organisations I led and now advise, and two years as a Resident Assistant.
I’m a Basic Life Support instructor, and KSU’s Division of Public Safety named me Crisis Coordinator of the Quarter and gave me three challenge coins.
