Ryan Bibby
I keep the sound, the screens, the servers and the signal working.
By day I run the building automation platforms at Kennesaw State, after a decade of putting on live events. The rest of the time I’m on the air as KN4RQL, behind a camera, or in the rack in my house.

What I do
A few disciplines, one habit: make it work, then make it boring.
- 01 Now Building automation The systems that keep a campus comfortable and efficient, now scheduled from the room bookings themselves.
- 02 2016 – 2026 Live events & audiovisual Videoboards, intercom, Dante networks and fibre, from high-school gyms to university stadiums.
- 03 Since 2017 Servers, networks & web Linux boxes, containers, DNS and the edge, built to be boring in the best way.
- 04 KN4RQL Amateur radio & RF Antennas, frequency coordination, and getting students on the air.
- 05 Portraits Photography Studio portraits against a plain backdrop, and the moment right before a laugh.
- 06 Post Video & motion Editing, compositing and graphics for the screens I used to run.
- 07 Leadership People & campus life Crews, clubs, residents, and the occasional crisis.

Now
What I’m up to.
- Managing the building automation systems at Kennesaw State (since June 2026), and teaching them to follow room bookings with 25live-bas-sync.
- Finishing my B.S. at Kennesaw State, due December 2027.
- Staff advisor to the KSU Amateur Radio Club (W4KST) and the Catholic Center.
- Shooting studio portraits, mostly friends who didn’t know they’d be good at it.
- Keeping catholic.rip: the saints of the day, in both Roman calendars.
- Hiding a fox: my fox hunt controller synthesizes and keys the hidden transmitter’s morse ID.
